Tesco Brownhills Refresh Photo’s!
I thought I would take a few minutes to show you all the current photo’s of the newly revamped Tesco Store in Brownhills. The collection of photo’s are of a mixed nature and show a variety of different periods of the building inside & out, during the refresh/re-fit/re-furb process, or whatever you would like to call it…. possibly a “makeover” is what is sticking on my tongue at the minute!!! I would like to thank Laura Taylor for notifying me of the Tesco Brownhills Facebook Group whereby these photo’s were captured from.
Unfortunately… the last time I visited this Tesco Store must be about… erm… I cannot actually remember but we are talking a few months at least! I still have not been able to pay a visit to the store as of yet… but I do plan to drop by and soon and experience the smell of fresh paint and newness before it disappears into the mysterious and mystical Brownhills abyss forever!
Images are courtesy of the Tesco Brownhills Facebook Group and also Laura Taylor.
Until next time…

What a crock of rubbish this is.
A lick of paint and a few new signs – meanwhile the rest of the town dies, denied the regeneration it would get from a new Tescos. Project now abandoned, with Tesco holding enough land to prevent further development.
Makes you proud. And you’ve swallowed the propaganda hook, line and sinker.
Bob
tbh theres a big big load of stuff going on in there, not just a lick of paint and a few new signs.. s i think it will help brownhills to be better.. the council need to get their backsides into gear tbh. ive been in a few times during the work, loads is new and loads has changed and its not finished yet.. i think it looks miles better already! and am so glad to see those horrid old signs gone at last! lol
Explain, using both sides of the paper, how much this will benefit Brownhills, rather than, say, Tesco.
They have abandoned plans for a new store, new traffic system, and investment in the town’s public spaces. We are now left with huge swathes of dereliction – the old market, the clinic, Ravens Court – that can’t now be developed because Tesco hold the land.
A couple of benches (which will soon be removed due to ASB) , a few graphics and some poor employees forced to hold up ‘happy to help’ signs really won’t help the town.
Welcome to the Tesco employee party, where everything’s rosy inshore.

but i dont work for tesco! haha.. im not gonna argue.. cos it will just get made into me being made to feel like im 10 lol.(‘using both sides of the paper’ oh dear..) so i shall leave it at this.. i feel that its a good thing.. and there we go. u have ur opinions cos i know they arent right.. some of them for deffinate.

“refresh/re-fit/re-furb process” – turd polishing more like !!!!!
okay facilities have been improved – but at what cost? Regeneration of the town centre abandoned now left to degrade for the foreseeable future …… thanks a lot Tesco 😦

You can’t polish a turd, but you can sprinkle glitter on it. Here’s a classic example…
Sarah,
Thanks for your comment. I do agree with your choice of words. I guess the same would apply for the Villa too! 😉
Regards,
Barry.
