Growing up, one of our weekend lunch staples was Tuna Burgers. In reality, they were much more like the Tuna on Toasted Bagel recipe than something like a burger, but that is what we called them.
When I saw the recipe below, I was interested as it took the tuna and created something similar to a crab cake (but…um…with tuna) than the baked version I was used to. I tried it out and it was pretty darn good.
Have some nice crisp lettuce and a healthy slice of tomato and you have a great sandwich.
I used the ole Miracle Whip vs mayo as I already had it open.
Mix the tuna and cut up veggies.
The sauce for the top.
Scoop the tuna into balls and then add them to the pan with hot oil.
Smash down the balls to patties and fry on both sides.
